The construction of the Koralm railway in the municipality of St. Paul im Lavanttal has led to the creation of an intermodal transport hub with the new Lavanttal passenger railway station, which enables supra-regional access to the Lavanttal valley in the direction of Graz and Klagenfurt. Great importance was attached to a tightly knit mobility chain with short and barrier-free routes between the railway and other means of transport. A cantilevered roof on the forecourt serves as weather protection for the bus stops. A service centre for track maintenance, including parking garages for rail vehicles and for the tunnel rescue train, is being built next to the station.
